What we collect when you order
Your name, email address, shipping address, and the details of your order. We use these to make and send your order and to answer questions about it. We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting rules require, then delete them.
Payments
Card payments are processed by Stripe, and by Etsy for Etsy orders. Card numbers go straight to them and never reach Cozy Nook Relics.
Measurement and advertising
We use a small number of third-party tools. Each one receives your IP address, the pages you view, and an identifier stored in your browser:
- Google Analytics (Google LLC), to count visits and see which pages people read.
- Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation), which records how pages are used, including mouse movement, clicks, and scrolling, so we can find what is confusing. Clarity masks text you type into forms.
- Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.), which tells us whether our Facebook and Instagram posts or ads led to a visit or a sale.
These tools set cookies and share data with companies outside Cozy Nook Relics. That counts as sharing for targeted advertising under some state laws, including in Texas and California.
What loads before you choose depends on where you are. Where the law requires your permission first — the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Canada, and anywhere we cannot identify — nothing above loads at all until you accept. In the United States, where the law works on an opt-out basis, Google Analytics runs when you arrive so we can count visits, and we tell you so in the notice at the bottom of the page. Advertising tools such as the Meta Pixel never load anywhere until you allow them.
Whichever applies to you, declining or turning measurement off stops it, and we honour it from then on.
Your choices
Decline cookies when asked, or change your mind any time with the link in the footer, which works everywhere and also switches measurement off in the United States. Your browser's do-not-track and global privacy control signals are treated as a decline in every country, before anything loads. You can also email us to ask what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted.
What we never do
We do not sell your information. We do not send marketing email unless you ask us to. We do not use your data to make automated decisions about you.
